Podcasts! Ok so maybe I’m late to this game, but I always thought a podcast was something super lame and boring. But I discovered this week that I was wrong! There are so many great shows out there, and it’s an easy way to learn something new, be encouraged, or just be entertained. I’ve gotten my ear plugs out and listened to them while painting, while working at the computer, and while driving (over the speakers when I’m by myself, and with one earplug in when I’m with the boys for a longer drive). So cool and better than just bingeing on Pretty Little Liars in my spare time. Although I do like that too #noshame. So far I’ve listened to Happy Hour with Jamie Ivey and Marriage More. Check it out if you’ve never listened to one! I recommend Jamie Ivey’s Happy Hour with Rachel Hollis because she is one of my girl crushes and you will love her! That leads to my next favorite thing…
On top of running a fabulous website, Rachel Hollis has also written 3 fabulous books! Party Girl is the first in a trilogy of books and they are all so super cute. If you need a good chick-book, fun read I recommend these! Each one is written from the perspective of a different girl in a group of friends. I got all 3 from Amazon (duh) and read them back to back! The third book, Smart Girl, just came out a few weeks ago. She also just finished recording audio for all 3 and I may need to get those when they come out! Also…this happened:
So we are basically BFFs now.
It’s my last day of saying this boy is my favorite one year old. Excuse me while I go sob in the corner. Gosh I love this kid. Can’t wait to see what this year has in store for him and us.
Almond Chocolate Chip Cookies! If you love a cookie but don’t want to feel too guilty about eating them, try these! I made these for a girl’s night last week and they were super easy and super yummy! The recipe was on the back of the Bob’s Red Mill Almond Meal bag, but you can find it here. Yummy yummy!
This is the part where you either judge me or love me. But my Bachelor commitment is a strong one y’all. I love this crap. It may be the best thing on TV. Seriously…it’s everything you want out of a show! Drama, comedy, awkwardness, love, straight up craziness. I love it. It’s such a train wreck. I’ve been watching it for about 8 years now and I’m committed. This season has been a good one, too, so if you’ve never watched it…DO IT NOW. For real, it will change your life. That may be a stretch, but it is good entertainment. Also, if you do watch it and you’ve never read Shaeffer’s recaps on Pinterest Told Me To, go read them immediately! Soooo so funny. Maybe even better than the show itself. Tell her I sent you!
Alright that’s all for today! Share some of your favorite things in the comments and enjoy your weekend! Come back next week for my thoughts on Porter turning 2 and some momfessions.
