DIY Fabric Banner // Ready, Set, Craft!

Hey ladies! Well, it’s the first Tuesday of the month, so it’s time for another Ready, Set, Craft Challenge! I’m linking up with KellyEmilyAmber, and Kerry today to share a post with a craft project where we all use the same material.
This month’s material was FABRIC! And I made a super cute fabric banner.
Here’s what you’ll need:
-3-4 different fabrics, 1 yard each
-Jute or Yarn
-Scissors
Easy, peasy! The only kind of craft I like to do!
I actually was able to just pull some scrap fabric I had on hand for this project, so it was free!
You’ll start by cutting notches in the fabric about an inch apart, and 1/2 inch deep.
Then you just rip the fabric from the notches you cut. It’s way easier than you’d expect!
You can just pull off the excess strings as you go so it doesn’t get too messy.
Figure out what order you want the fabric to go in, and start tying them on your jute or yarn.
To tie the fabric on you’ll fold it in half on top of your jute.
Then loop the ends through the top.
Then pull it tight.
Make sure you tie them all the same so the loops are all facing the same way and look uniform.
Keep tying until you get them all! Consider this project an arm workout. Double time!!
I love the way the ragged edges look. It’s a great way to add texture and color to your walls!
You can also use it as decor for a special occasion or party!
I even like the way it dresses up the boys’ tent in their play room!
You could make these in any combo of colors! Great in a nursery or for a party. I even helped make one with a group of friends for an upcoming engagement party. I love the gold pieces in it for an extra pop of flair!!
So that’s it for this month’s craft challenge! Make sure to tag me on social media if you try it, or share your own fabric craft below! And go check out what the other girls made with fabric this month.
Next month we will be crafting with CHALK PAINT!
