coming out of the black hole

Oh hey, I have a blog. No…I didn’t really forget, I’m just kind of the worst at keeping up with things. I know I am definitely not the first person to say “I’m totally going to blog more” and then never actually do it. I’ve got to get it together though! I love sharing what I’m up to and all of the fun families and kids I get to photograph. So let it be known that I WILL actually blog more. Let me commit to at LEAST twice a month…hopefully more.
Ok on to why I may have disappeared for a few months…year…whatever.
THIS has kept be pretty busy:

And then THIS made me a little busier:
It’s the best “busy” in the world though. I am loving life with my 2 boys. They are magic.
Evan is 2.5 now and Porter is 14.5 weeks. Porter is enamored by Evan. He watches him run around and smiles at him constantly. Evan is sweet most of the time. Sometimes he wants to poke Porter in the face, but he mostly likes to give him kisses. Be still my heart! I mean…look at this sweetness.
My sweet friend Katy has once again captured some amazing images of my family. Love her! Make sure to check out her work!
Life is finally starting to feel more normal these days. Porter is FINALLY starting to sleep all night more consistently. I no longer feel like a zombie. And I’m starting to get back to work. I’ve done a handful of sessions in the past few months. Here’s some snippets:
LOVE that these are all repeat clients. I cannot express how much of a blessing it is to me to see these families through the years and be able to capture the special moments for them. It’s amazing. So THANK YOU to all you amazing people that have trusted me to be a part of your lives!
In other life news, today I finished a 30-day health and fitness challenge. I committed to clean eating and exercising 5-6 times a week. And I did it!! I lost 5 pounds and 12.25 inches over the course of 30 days. So excited! I am planning to start another 30 day challenge starting June 2nd. I know I still need the accountability until this becomes a habit for me. If anyone needs a push to start a healthier lifestyle I definitely recommend finding a challenge group. I did my current challenge with Marta fromFour Fit Sisters, and the next one will be with her sister Maggie. They are really inspiring! Can’t wait to see where the next challenge brings me.
Last but not least…we are getting ready to start building our new home!! Yay! Hoping to get our finalized house plans this week, then send them over to our builder to get an estimate. Seriously cannot wait! I will share pictures of the progress. Here’s a picture of our beautiful 2.5 acre lot:
Can’t wait to be living here with Jonathan and our boys! Life is good.
Until next time…which will be SOON 😉
